The New York Committee for Occupational Safety and Health (NYCOSH) Announces Newly Elected Board Members for 2017

 

January 23, 2017 – New York, New York –New York Committee for Occupational Safety and Health (NYCOSH) chairperson Lee Clarke, Assistant to the President at District Council 37, Local 1549, today announced board members elected for NYCOSH’s 2017-2018 term. NYCOSH Board of Directors is democratically elected by its member unions, organizations, and individuals every two years.

 

“I am excited to work with longtime and new board members and am honored to serve another term as NYCOSH Chair. NYCOSH is an essential organization that protects workers’ right to a safe and healthy workplace. We are more needed now more than ever—our board has a lot of work to do in 2017,” said Ms. Clarke.

 

NYCOSH Executive Director Charlene Obernauer said, “NYCOSH continues to elect excellent board members with dedicated leaders in the movement for safe and healthy workplaces, and we look forward to strengthening and protecting our organization and the movement at large in the years to come.”
