Karla Andreu

Karla Andreu is a development professional with 12 years of experience with national and international non-profits and foundations that achieve high impact results to advance social and environmental causes in the US and the Caribbean.

As development and operations director at NYCOSH, Ms. Andreu implements comprehensive strategies that target: membership development, small, mid-level and major donor cultivation, grant writing, earned revenue, e-fundraising and events.

Socio-economic themes Karla that have been able to research and advance in her career include: reforming Puerto Rico’s public education system, US immigration policy, New York farmworker labor justice, environmental protection of endemic species in the Caribbean, Latino health disparities, New York criminal justice system reform, Puerto Rico youth at risk , human trafficking in Puerto Rico and arts therapy.

Ms. Andreu has launched and expanded non-profits and foundations such as the Ricky Martin Foundation and Puerto Rico Youth at Risk in the Caribbean and NY.  She provides great motivation and structure to development teams to meet their annual fundraising goals and incubate businesses  to increase revenue towards their missions.

She is a Georgetown McDonough Business school graduate and a National Urban Fellow alumni.
