The TEMP Coalition advocates for extreme temperature standards to protect workers and was founded and is chaired by the New York Committee for Occupational Safety and Health (NYCOSH).
TEMP was formed in 2022 and includes many unions, environmental, and worker organizations. Coalition members include 32BJ SEIU, Association of Commuter Rail Employees (SMART), La Colmena, Local 372 of DC37 AFSCME, National Employment Law Project, New Immigrant Community Empowerment, NYC Environmental Justice Alliance, the New York State Teamsters, Retail Wholesale and Department Store Union (RWDSU), RWDSU Local 338, We Act, and Worker Justice Center. TEMP has introduced extreme temperature legislation in the NYS legislature in 2025 sponsored by NYS Senator and Labor Chair Jessica Ramos and NYS Assemblyman and Labor Chair Harry Bronson.
